There’s something about stepping into a dedicated space for therapy - one that exists just for you, away from the rest of your day. In-person therapy creates a unique rhythm of showing up, being present, and engaging in deep emotional work in a space designed for it.
There’s a shift that happens when you physically step into a room created for therapy. The act of leaving your daily environment and arriving here can help you mark this time as yours - fully focused, uninterrupted, and separate from the rest of your world.
Not everything needs to be spoken. Our space has art supplies, books, and games - tools that allow you to explore your emotions and thoughts in different ways. Sometimes, sketching, writing, or engaging with something tactile can open up a new way of understanding yourself.
Therapy in person involves committing to the process in a physical way. The journey to and from sessions can become time for reflection—what you want to bring in, what you’re taking back with you. There’s something grounding about walking into a familiar space each week, knowing it’s a place where you are held and seen.
Therapy isn’t about sitting stiffly in a chair and talking. You’ll find green tea and coffee in our office (though you’ll have to make it yourself!), and you’re welcome to sit on the couch, lie down, or even walk around if that feels right. This is your space for the hour - take it up however you need.
Our space is nestled next to a park lined with trees, offering a sense of calm the moment you step in. The greenery outside, the occasional rustling of leaves, and the natural light filtering in help create an environment where slowing down and reflecting feel organic. Some clients find that knowing they can step outside, take a breath, or just be surrounded by nature adds to their sense of ease in therapy. In moments of silence, you might even hear birds adding their own presence to the session.

Interesting question! According to research, the most effective approach to therapy is meeting with the therapist once a week for a minimum of 20 sessions or 6 months.
As a therapist, I encourage clients to schedule weekly sessions, and the duration of therapy will depend on their progress and how they're doing.

Yes, everything you tell me is between us, unless you explicitly provide me with written permission to share information with someone else.
The exceptions to confidentiality will occur if I suspect abuse of children or the elderly, or if you share an intent to harm yourself or another person. We’ll discuss together in any of these situations and proceed accordingly.
Please provide at least a notice of 2 days if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Cancellations made after this time will be marked as no shows and will be fully chargeable. If I’m able to fit you in within 2 days of this, I will let you know, so you can opt for a reschedule.
